What we do with your details

British Luggage Group is the data controller for personal data that reaches us through this website. The registered entity, its company registration number and its address are on the legal notice page.

There are three forms. The one on the range proposal page asks for your name, company, work email, country, and what you are looking for, with one optional box for anything else you want to add. The price form on each collection page asks for two things: your email address and your company. It also notes which suitcase you were looking at, so that our answer is about that one. The feasibility form on the private label page asks for your work email and your company, and has one optional box for your market or country.

There is no newsletter signup, no account and no search box. We get nothing unless you type it into one of those three forms, or write to us by email. Our address is on every page.

What you send arrives as an email. No computer decides anything about you.

We keep what you sent us: your name, email address, company, your country or market, which product you were asking about, and anything you typed in the optional box. That is all — we do not look you up anywhere else and add to it.

The legal basis is legitimate interest. You wrote to a supplier about business and you expect an answer. We use what you sent to reply, to send the prices or documents you asked for, and to carry on that conversation.

We do not sell it, do not pass it on, and do not add you to any list. Sending a form does not sign you up to anything.

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. No advertising trackers, no remarketing pixels, no social media tracking, no embedded players or maps. Sending a form does not set one either.

The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font service, so opening a page does not disclose your address to a third party.

There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. If that ever changes, we will ask before it changes rather than after.

We count visits using Netlify Analytics. It reads the web server logs — the records the server keeps anyway when it sends you a page. Nothing extra is loaded into your browser and your browser does not contact anyone else.

It counts pages, not people. No cookies, no tracking across sites, and nothing that identifies you.

Our hosting provider records the standard information any web server records when a page is served: the IP address the request came from, the time, the page, and the browser's own description of itself. It is used to keep the site up and to investigate abuse, and it is deleted on the provider's own short retention schedule.

We do not read those logs to identify visitors and we do not combine them with anything else.

When you send a form, it goes to Netlify, the company that hosts this website. Netlify stores it and emails it to us. That is the only company between you and us, and it is named here because you are entitled to know.

Netlify is based in the United States. That transfer is covered by the standard contract terms the European Commission has approved for sending data outside Europe.

After that, your message sits in our email and nowhere else. There is no CRM and no marketing platform.

Enquiries are kept for two years from our last exchange, so that a conversation which resumes a season later can be picked up rather than restarted. After that they are deleted.

If we go on to work together, the records belonging to that relationship are kept for as long as Swedish accounting law requires.

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or receive it in a portable form. You can object to us holding it on the basis of legitimate interest, and we will stop unless there is a compelling reason not to.

Email hello@britishluggage.se and we will answer within one month. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.

If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY). We would rather you told us first, but that is your right and it is not conditional on speaking to us.

If this policy changes materially we will change the date below. We will not quietly broaden what we do with your data and leave the wording as it was.
